Insurance Coverage:

All our vehicles are comprehensively insured within the UAE. Comprehensive insurance cover is provided against accidental damage only. All insurance clauses are subject to laws of the UAE and are restricted to the confines of the country. In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle a minimum deductible amount of AED 1000 on Saloon Cars, AED 1500 on 4WDs, Commercial Vehicles and AED 2500 on Luxury vehicles respectively will have to be borne by the customer.

Accidents:

In the event of an accident while driving and/or damage while the vehicle is parked, the police must be called before the vehicle is moved and a report together with the repair slip MUST be obtained. If these papers are not obtained from the police by the renter, then he/she will be responsible for reimbursing Car Fare Rent a Car the entire cost of repairs, as the insurance company will refuse any claim.

Also, if the above mentioned vehicles is driven off-road, then the total damage cost will be borne by the renter as the Insurance will not be applicable on off-road driving conditions. This will be applicable provided the terms and conditions have been complied with.

Please note that accidents occurring as a result of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be covered by insurance and the total damage cost will be paid by the renter.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI):

The PAI is valid for the designated driver only. Personal Accident benefits up to an amount of AED 200,000/- sum insured for death per person. The PAI is valid for permanent dis-ability and death but not hospitalization. Additional charges are applicable for the PAI at AED 10/- Per Day for daily or weekly rental and AED 100/- per month for monthly rentals.

Licensing and Age Requirement:

Minimum age requirement as per our insurance clause is 25 years. UAE residents require a valid UAE driving license which should be at least 1 year old. For non residents International driving license is mandatory, supported with the driving license from the country of origin, which should be at least one year old.

Kilometers:

350 KMs per day on Daily Rentals, 1750 KMs on Weekly Rentals and 4000 KMs on Monthly Rentals. Excess mileage will be charged if the mentioned mileage limits are exceeded.

Fuel Costs

The customer will be responsible for all fuel related costs on the hired vehicle and replacement vehicles.

Replacement Vehicle:

Car Fare Rent a Car L.L.C will provide replacement vehicle whenever the vehicle is collected for service, repair or registration renewal.

Delivery & Collection:

Delivery and Collection will be charged AED 75/- within Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah city limites respectively. Other emirates: Ajman AED 100, Umm Al Quwain AED 150, Ras Al Khaimah AED 200 and Fujairah AED 150. Alternatively, the requested vehicle can be collected/returned at any of our branches, without any extra charges.

Maintenance:

All costs related to the regular maintenance and service will be borne by Car Fare Rent a Car. Notifying that the service is due is the responsibility of the customer and to keep the rented vehicle or replacement vehicle regularly cleaned will also be his/her responsibility.

Tires:

The replacement of tires will depend on normal wear and tear. Repair of puncture and leaking valves due to negligence or misuse such as impact damage (e.g. hit on pavements, off-road driving, water damage etc) is the responsibility of the customer and will be charged accordingly. Car Fare Rent A Car will refer any dispute to the supplying dealer for evaluation & their decision will be final and binding to both parties.

Traffic Fines:

All costs related to Traffic/Municipality violations will be borne by the 2nd Party. Please note there will be a service charge of AED 45 for payment of each Traffic/ Municipality violations. The Traffic department in Dubai has also introduced a Knowledge Dirham charge of AED 20 per violation which Car Fare will charge to the customer for violations committed in Dubai. Car Fare will be able to provide a copy of the violation from the Traffic Department upon request.

Vehicle Usage:

The customer must undertake that the Leased vehicle will not be used for:

  • Any purpose other than that for which the Leased vehicle has been designed, including not exceeding its designed load capacity.
  • Racing or any other kind of competitive sport.
  • Carrying passengers, goods or animals for hire.
  • The transportation of any hazardous, explosive or inflammable materials or any goods or items that is likely to damage the Vehicle-interior, exterior or mechanical.
  • Transportation of illegal substances.
Cost Escalation Clause:

Kindly note that in the event of any additional charges being imposed by the RTA or UAE Government, with respect to vehicle running costs, then the extra costs will be notified by us to the hirer, for payment. Examples include, the Introduction of Road Tax, increase in Salik toll charges, or a significant or astronomical increase in Vehicle registration. Barring the above, the monthly rental rate will remain fixed.

Payment Terms:

Monthly payable in advance. If the payment due remains unpaid, then Car Fare Rent A Car reserves the right to either refuse to give a replacement vehicle against the vehicle serviced or repaired in which case any costs incurred for damage to the rented vehicle will be to the account of the hirer and/ or repossess the Lease vehicle/s without prior notice.

An amount of AED will be charged to your credit card towards this rental Confirmed.

A credit card in the name of the renter is mandatory for the Car Hire.

Premature Termination:

In the event that the customer terminates the Lease, prior to the completion of the Lease period mentioned in the lease contract, then the customer acknowledges the liability to pay to Car Fare the penalty amount as stipulated. The customer will also be liable to pay the penalty amount as per this clause, if Car Fare Rent A Car chooses to repossess the vehicles leased, on account of Nonpayment or late payment by the customer.
